I might add it at some point when the software is fixed in a few days
because I miss having somewhere to keep my tiddy drawings and animations in cold storage but uh, I don't know, at least not just yet. It'd probably receive a lot of pushback from the five people other than us that post here and I don't think any of the previous users from 8chan are coming back anyway; Discord and the other imageboard/live-chat synthesis utilities have largely won the alt-chan war by this point and they have the budget and staff to keep it that way for the foreseeable future.
Pushback or not it might be necessary for 4chon to become something other than what it was to a small degree for it to ever gain any kind of traction though (I don't want it to be all that big mind you, but it would be nice if we had maybe 50-100 users or so, enough to keep discussions brisk across multiple boards while also not being too lost in the crowd ourselves). I was thinking ideally someday the frtong paeg could be turned into its own livechat with mumu-esque functionality where people submit youtube videos to share and vote on the one they all want to watch.>>3576
No /pol/ for one thing; I didn't even use it but it's kind of the principle of the matter I guess. Also the disclaimer on the bottom of every post,I know you can turn it off but it's pretty silly that something like that was somebody's master plan for absolving the site of all responsibility (at least when there's already legal precedent for that-the same that protects facebook, instagram et al.); if nothing else maybe put the disclaimer on/off switch somewhere clearly visible on the main page instead of buried at the bottom of the options tab no one otherwise looks at, you know?
Anyway as far as I know 8chan itself did absolutely nothing wrong legally
and it was purely Cloud Flare and others' decision to lock them out of their mafia-like monopoly so the disclaimer itself and the whole "speak freely - legally" tagline is pretty arbitrary when the legality isn't what it's ever been about from the beginning. Admittedly Jim launched a valiant boomer defense of the site and its users on youtube and I applaud him for it really, nothing personal on my end, but I just think with how hard it had fallen by the time the six month Infinity Next debacle was finally solved and now this it's going to be an extremely uphill battle for it to come even close to what it was at its post-Gamergate lowest point.
…and again it just doesn't sound right. How am I supposed to bring girls over there with a suffix like ."top" huh? Gosh it sounds silly.
